Χατζηγεωργίου, θα πραγματοποιήσει παρουσίαση με αντικείμενο “Software development on blockchains. The Software Engineering perspective”
Abstract
“Decentralized application development. A brief technical introduction to blockchains and smart contracts”
The revolution of blockchain technologies started in 2008 with the rise of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In 2015 the Ethereum blockchain gave the opportunity to software developers to start producing commercial dapps with the use of smart contracts. Billions of US Dollars are currently exchanged through such technology every day. People are talking about the “new internet” and the technology that will shape the Web 3.0 state.
In our next meeting, we will have the opportunity to preview and discuss current tools and technologies for the development and deployment of such applications.
Hopefully, this presentation will lead to a discussion about software engineering and other academic research field concerns and opportunities.
