Stelios Xinogalos is an associate professor of programming techniques and environments in the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. He received the BSc and the PhD degree in Applied Informatics from the University of Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Greece) in 1998 and 2002, respectively. From 1998 to 2010, he worked in Secondary and Tertiary education as an Informatics teacher and an adjunct lecturer respectively. Since 2010, he is a member of the academic staff of the University of Macedonia. His research interests include programming environments and techniques, object-oriented design and development, educational programming environments, serious games and computer science education. He has published more than 100 papers in international refereed journals and conferences.
